Dr Xott, who lias been returned for the Herbert seat, is a young man who has made rapid advances in his profession. In 1923 he stood for the State seat, but was defeated by the Labour candidate, Mr Smith, by 2(>32 votes to 1931. His decision to contest the Herbert electorate against Air Theodore was at the unanimous call of the Nationalist branches within the electorate.
Dr Xott secured his degree at the Sydney University. He lias a striking personality, and is a. fluent, forcclii 1 speaker. Before setting up in practice at Afaokay he was engaged on the hookworm campaign conducted hy the Rockefeller Foundation.
