BOY SCOOTS.

EXHIBITION JAMBOBEE. The Boy Scout Jamboree, to be held at. Dunedin in connection with the Exhibition from January 9th to 23rd next, is causing great activity in the New Zealand section of the movement. Due to the most generous support accorded by the Government, the entries have greatly increased, and the success of the venture is assured. There will now be about 1109 representative Scouts at the camp at Tnhun.a l*ark. Included in this number will be 50 Australians and a patrol of 10 from the Transvaal. Dominion headquarters lias just, been advised that, the South Africans arrived at Perth, Western Australia, en route to Now Zealand, vesterdav.

Now Zealand boys will be attending from all centres, as far north as AYhangnrei and as far south as the Blufftho latter troop being the most southerly troop in the world.

In most eases, tlie hoys are very actively engaged in raisng the funds themselves, the favourite method being that of hiring themselves out for work. Others are financing the trip by proceeds from concerts and displays. When it is taken into consideration that a certain troop in Auckland, sending 30 boys, lias set itself the task of raising £31)1), it can he readily perceived what activity is being manfcsled by the 101)0 boys in the Dominion who are looking forward to this big camp.
