Coates (Premier) made a short visit to Hamilton yesterday and opened the Railway Institute, erected by the employees of the Frunktion house factory. The Premier was welcomed to the electorate by Mr ,1. A. Young and other speakers. The Prime Minister congratulated the employees upon their enterprise and the co-operation shown between the controlling and working staffs in the erection of the building. Only by team work could results lie attained. Good hos-cs made good men and good understanding between them produced good results. He could not please everybody and was not going to try, but lie wanted the workers in the de-
partment to Icel happy and contented, lie desired close co-operation between all sections. They could make the department a success lie pulling together and he would like to see the same spirit which was responsible for the erection of the institute permeate the department from the youngest member of the working stall to the highest executive heads. The Premier was cordially received and lelt later for Te A robe where he delivered.; a short speech, lie then visited To Awamulii and Cambridge. x a< ht capsizes. WELLINGTON. Oct. 27. In the heavy southerly yesterday a yacht with four men aboard capsized in the harbour a mile off the shore. A ferry .steamer picked the crew up, hut not before some of them were badly exhausted. The boat drifted away ami a search for it was unavailing.
