A FATAL MELEE. HOBART, October 27. Following oil an altercation with a number of Italians, William (Juinu, ■ John Davis and a number of other voting men .visited the Italians home at Linda, and broke the windows. A melee followed in which one was fatally stahlied, Davis was seriously wounded, while several other Australians suffered minor injuries. One Italian was arrested. The brawl was the outcome of racial feeling, which has been simmering for a long time, local in itn bit nuts resenting the employment of Italians in North Lvell mine. PERTH, October 27. The Empire Press delegates arrived by rail and were tendered a State luncheon.
