RACING TIPSTERS FINED. SYDNEY, Oct. 24. The police were awakened to the sudden activity in connection with the steadily increasing publication of newspaper rating tipster advertisements. They laid forty-six informations under the Betting Act against a number of daily and ueeklv papers, also a number against tipsters. The hearing of those against the newspapers was adjourned to the sixth of! November, whilst nine of the tipsters
were lined sums ranging from one t-» ten pounds on charges of causing advertisements to hi> published.
