The Exchange Tclegratih Agency, summarising the views of the coal mmors, savs: —“The Smith Wales minors are hostile to an inquiry as proposed lit the Midlands, including Nottinghamshire. Derby and Leicestershire the minors are in favour of the avoidance of a strike. In Lancashire, the miners altitude is uncertain, and the A nrkshire miners will probably Inflow Mi Herbert Smith (President ol the federation).
