H is the highest peak in Canada, and the thin 1 largest in the American c; mtinont. Hitherto it was unsealed. Ihc oxf,edition was led hv Captain McCarthy. Mount. Logan is considered only .second to Mount Everest in the formidable nature of its harriers. It is the so ond highest peak in North America.
Elaborate preparations were made and several months spent in e'ta' li'lljug bases and supply depots.
