Perhaps the largest and most, representative meeting ever held in Koiterangi took place on .Monday night at the Hall, business being the appointment of a Host master to succeed] Mr John Dimmit k who alter 29 years 1 :i 11 !i i ist service, lias resigned. Mr \V. Jameson as one of the convenors In-gnu to address the iceeling lull was called to order until (lie election ol a Chairman. Air 11. Winter was ilii'ii duly eleeted Chairman and business was proceeded with. Two nominations were received for the vacancy. A ballot was taken which resulted Mrs Cropper 22 votes. .Mr If. .‘.licliel 19 voles. Mrs Cropper's name is there lore to lie submitted to the Bosiniaster as the district’s nominee as the new Postmistress. Some idea of the interest taken may lie gauged Ironi the fact that, only two families in the district were unrepresented. As might he expected the meeting was a real lively one ably conducted hv the chairman. Mr 11. Min ti r.
