Tho mvsterv coi.ecruing the disappearance'of Mrs Filen Louisa Mount. w ho was missed from her home in Becklord Road, St. Martins, on February 20th. has been heightened by the disappearance of her husband, I'. JMount. , Mount was seen in the city <>n Monday afternoon, hut since then he has not been heard of. I esterdny a party of police officers dug a large portion ot the garden of Mount’s residence, n new bungalow set in neat surroundings. Tho police also were seen dragging m the Heathcote river during the day. Developments are expected.

McKinnon are searching the country round St. Matins, one detective using a spade and another a spike to test the ground. . , In some quarters it is Indicted that both mail and woman are alive. They lnve been married for fifteen years and for some time Mouat kept an hotel in South Canterbury. Prior to that be was an engineer in .Jolumnesburg.
