The quarterly meeting of the Westland Licensing Committee lixed lor noon to-day was postponed until Thursday, March 12th. at noon. The Assessment Court for the revision of the mining valuation list of the Westland County sat this morning before Warden Meldrum. The list as submitted was certified to as settled, two objections having boon agreed to by arrangement. The old saying that “Business is Business” gets a jolt once in a while when some big business linn stirs a little sentiment into the mixture. Recently a big Chewing Gum Firm in Sydney put a new brand on the market and called it “Wriglcy’s P.K.” There have been many guesses as to the meaning of the name— some have said that it is the initials of the Firm’s well known slogan “Packed tight— Kept right.”—hut actually it is just a little matter of sentiment. P.K. are the initials of Philip Knight—the only son of the. founder of the business. P.K. is now one of the largest shareholders in the huge concern.
