Totara Flat .Miss F. Al. Biitchr, .sole mistress. Special leave ol a.bsence was granted to Aliss E. G. Dwyer, Riiiuiiiga. for six imuitlis. RESIGNATIONS.

The following iesigiiations were accepted : Air T. Irvine (headmaster) and Aliss 11. Ahi.vne (Assistant Mistress) both of Hokitika. Aliss S. R. You o (Assistant Mistress) at Otira. It was resolved to accept to the Hokitika ('ommittee’s request for: 1.--Tbe repair of ventilators at the school; 2.- Repair of plaster in several places: 3.—Repair of the spouting over the infants cloak room, and the Foreman is to arrange tor renovation ol the remaining class rooms at a cost not exceeding 626. The Foreman’s report for the month was received and adopted. Tt was reported that the .Minister of Education, Sir .lames Parr, bad promised to visTc- the West Coast next month, and to look into the matter of a new school at Harihaii and the rebuilding cf the school at Kumara. c
