[“The Times” Service.] TRADE UNION TO INVESTIGATE (Received this day at 0 a.m.) LONDON. Oet. 29. The “Central News’ states that -Mr Purcell, a Commoner, is the head of a. Trade Union delegation which is leaving for Moscow on the 7th. Nov. to investigate the Zinovielf letter. CHRISTIANIA, Oet. 20.
The newspapers state that during the general strike six mouths ago the .Moscow Soviet Executive sent a letter to the Norwegian Communist headquarters couched in terms almost identical with the Zinovielf letter.

Arabs and Chinese to seek buried steel, iron and copper. A search reveals that many skeletons of English, French, Italian and Herman bodies, were carelessly Hung aside after everything of value was taken. The searchers are paid in accordance with the metal they find. I'hus two Arabs found several tons of .-bell cases lor which they received ten thousand francs. The Arabs spent two thousand francs within a day gambling in cabarets. The Government pays a premium of two francs for each body discovered. This is too little to prevent the ghouls looting the dead. A searching inquiry has been ordered and alrcadv several arrests have been made.

Dr. Washburn, who conducted the post mortem (on the gill who died after Dr. Il idwin’.s trcatemiit) gave evidence that the (hath of the girl was due to dipht heria-piii'uinonia. Sir .Marshall Hall objected that the alleged swab from the girl’s throat liail not been identified. Ho urged that Dr. Hailwin should have been represented at the examination of it by another doctor. Other doctors then gave evidence that anti-toxin injections should have
been given. Dr Hailwin. who is an anti-vaccina-tionist. gave evidence that the girl was suffering from septic tonsiliti.s, and she died of pneumonia. Dr lladwiii was followed home by a cheering crowd.

The Australian and Canadian Parliamentary delegates were entertained at a farewell dinner by the South African Branch of tlie Empire Parliamentary Association. The speeches testified to the value and need for the interchange with sister dominions of the views and aims.

Professor Alolgaard lias discovered a treatment* for tuberculosis by injecting a gold solution, collided with the injection of a serum eon trading the poisonous gold effects. lle asserts three hundred pntienis including chronic eases have been cured. The Professor admits the treatment will probably hasten death in desperate eases.
