FOOTBALL.
All members of the Excelsior Football Club must be tit the shed this evening at 7 o’clock when teams for Saturday will he selected.
The team to represent Arahur.i against Rimu at Rimu on Saturday next at 3 p.m. will- be selected from tho following.—T. Staines, Tainui (5), W. Hnrcourt, J. Marshall,’ Sandy Wright, T. Rochford, Keogan (2), Smith J. Flutey, AI. To Koeti, Lousich, Roderick, Dnlgliesh, J. Rochford, Baigent., K. .Mason, Marks, G. Thomas, J. Toohoy. Walker and D. Bates. A conveyance to leave Aralnira at 2 p.m. Any of the above players unable to play must notify the Secretary not later than Friday.
The Kiwi Junior Football Club members for selection consist of:—Morel (2), Breeze (2), Hnussniann. Berry, Head, Raine, Stopforth (2), Puriett, Fleming (2), Morris. Kidd (2), Aluirliead. Clarke. 8.. Adamson. White, jq’alilert. Hownt, To Koeti, Olson, Hondetison, Cochrane, Spoor (2), Eager, Blanchard Julies (2). All the above are to lie tit the Kiwi Shed to-night, when the team will be selected. All the Third Grade and Senior members of the Kiwi Football Club must be at the Shed this evening for training. The Selection Committee meets at 7.30 to select the teams for Saturday. WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. An executive meeting of the West Coast Rughv Union was held last evening at Greyinoutli. It was decided to accede to tho Alarist Old Hoys’ Club request for the cancellation of that Club’s affiliation to the West Coast Rugby Union. Air T. O’Donnell (vice president) Air AI. Keating (treasurer) tendered their resignations, which were accepted with regret. An application was received from the Kumarn Football Club for affiliation, which was granted and Mr J. Owen wa* received as the Club delegate. -Mr Owen was elected treasurer and it was decided to leave the matter of the appointment of another vice-pre-
..ident over until next meeting. The matter of altering the southern boundary was left over for the Kumara delegates report.
The suspension of two players from last season was lifted. Tt- was decided to recommend the following reinstatement to the Rughv code: .Messrs J. W. AlcCable and 11. H. Skeltom.
In the matter of the proposed Coast v Buller match on May 17th it was pointed out that Buller owed this Union the first visit for the Bundle Cup, as the last match played in Grevmouth was a Setldon Shield match, for which they had received a proportionate share ol the gate proceeds.
In view of the Victoria Park being engaged on two Saturdays following the 12th of April, it was decided to postpone the opening date of the senior fixtures until the 3rd of May.The teams nominated for the Club competitions are as follows: —Senior Stars, Uniteds and Kumara; Junior: Stars, Blaketown, Cobden, United, Kumara; Third Grade: Stars, United, Blaketown and Cobden ; fourth grade: Stars, Blaketown, United and Technical School; fifth grade: Cobden and Technical School.
