BRITISH TRADE RETURNS.
LONDON, Sept. IdThe “Daily Express” says the August trade returns show an improvement on the 1922 figures, but the bulk is an increase in imports. This is disturbing as this disparity shows that the export trade is suffering to an extent which should not be permitted to continue The Government nas been so busy in Europe that its whole energies could not be directed towards the devo lopment of our heritage of overseas trade which should he kept eleni of European politics.
