It is understood that Italy has undertaken to evacuate the island before die first of October. CORFU .EVACUATION. .LONDON, Sept. .It. The ‘‘Daily Telegraph's” Paris corresponednt uuderstaiubs that the Italian evaeuation of Corfu Island has been fixed for September 7th, when the Commission of Enquiry into the Janiua murders should finish its labours. The “Daily Chronicle’s” Paris correspondent says that it is believed m diplomats circles that the Corfu solution will have a happy effect on the Finnic prohlem. regarding which Italy and Jugo-Slnvia must reach an agreement to-morrow. TIIK SETTLEMENT TERMS. LONDON, Sept. 13. The "Daily Telegraph's” Paris correspondent states: —The ambassndois’ ngreement provides that the Creek hallmillion sterling will be forfeited to Italv on September 27t1i.. it Greece fails meanwhile to arrest the murderers. Swiss arbitration in her dispute with .7ugo-Slavin has perturbed responsible circles in London. It is apprehended that one of the parties might attempt some rash action, provocative of war. It is understood the situation is causing grave concern in the French Governemnt, in view of its close connection with the Little Entente. ROME. Sept. Id. A semi-official stateninet denies the alarmist reports, regarding the Finnic situation. It ridicules the talk of a danger of war. _____
