TUESDAY, SEPT. 11th. NOTICES OF MOTION. I.—The Chairman to move:—“That the accounts for the month of August, 1923, as revised and recommended for payment by tho Finance Committee, amounting to £ he passed for payment.” ■}.—-Tho Chairman to move:—“That application he made to the Public Work’s Department for the expenditure of road and bridge votes within tlie County of Westland.” 3. —The Chairman to move:—“That a special mooting of the Finance Committee he held witliin one week from date for the purpose of taking such action as may be deemed necessary in respect to the petition lodged with the Hon Minister of Internal Affairs relative to the inclusion of that portion of the Borough of Hokitika known as South Hokitika, within the area of the- County of Wcstiaml. and the clerk be instructed to compile nil necessary information for the consideration ol the Finance Committee.” 4. —The Chairman to move:—“l hat the Finance Cmmittee report in respect to tho measure of financial support to he granted for Westland County Exhibits at the British and Intercolonial Exbibiton to he held at Hokitika, opening loth. December next.” 5. Cr. Searle to move: —“I lmt the Public Works Department be urged to proceed forthwith with the erection of 'NVaikukupa bridge, the timber loi which is now available, and the need for the structure most urgent.” o—Cr.
