RUDOLPH VALENTINO MONDAY. A colossal emotional drama entitled “Stolen Moments’’ with, Rudolph. Valentino as its handsome villian will he the star attraction at the Princess Theatre on Monday next. He is ably supported in this fino picture by Marguerite Namara, who is famous l'or her gorgeous voice and surpassing beauty. When a lovely woman stoops to folly And learns too late that men betray, What hope can crush her melancholy!' What hope can brush her tears away 1 No expense has been spared by the producers in giving the story elaborate and suitable presentation. A girlish indiscretion may often bring a train of unhappiness and misery, and this is well exemplified in “Stolen Moments,” the drama starring Rudolph Valentino and Marguerite Namara. A fine supporting series will also bo shown and prices are as usual. li.S.A. MINSTRELS.
The Tt.S.A. Minstrel troupe mot at the .Soldiers 1 ' HnU, last night. The promoter, Mr G. Delbridge, occupied the chair, and congratulated one and all on the marked! success of Inst Tuesday’s performance. Mr T. Kerr, him. secretary, read the draft statement of accounts. This showed the receipts to bo about £BO, and the expenses less than £2O. There would thus he a surplus for the building fund of over £OO. The report was received and adopted with acclamation. Mr Aldridge expressed thanks to the company for the splendid co-operation of all the performers and said an invitation had been given by the R.S.A. to repeat the entertainment hero, as well as to visit Groymouth and other neighboring centres. The decision would ho left to the meeting. Mr Evans, President, in congratulating Messrs Aldridge and Joyce and. the company generally, said there was a very general desire to give another entertainment here and Princess .Theatre (again through the courtesy of Mr H. McLean) would bo at their disposal on Tuesday, 18th. September. As regards a visit to Groymouth, the Opera House there would be available on Thursday, 20th. September, and Mr Behan had promised to give all assistance possible within the resources of the theatre. It was explained also tiiat for tho visit to Groymouth, a special train could tire arranged for transport. After a general discussion, Mr Bain moved and Mr Eraser seconded, that the company accede to tho invitation tendered by the R.S.A. on the dates suggested. This was carried. Messrs Aldridge, Joyce, Wallace, Wright, Delbridge, Bawden, amt Kerr were appointed a general committee of management for future performances, with power to make all arrangements. Tho committee met immediately after, and it was resolved to hold a full rehearsal on Monday night for the preparation of a new second part entitled, “Fun in an Kstnmiuet,” in which the full company will take part. Fresh jokes and other novelties will be introduced making tho entertainment new and as distinctive as before. Reports indicated that the fame of tho Company had reached Greymouth already and that a bumper attendance could be expected in the northern town.
