AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION. DE VALERA’S DEMAND. LONDON, May 21. Mr De Valera has issued a statement, in which he. reiterates the necessity of concluding peace Uy agreement. He declares that it will be im possible for the present one-sided truce to continue. He alleges that the bice State Government, instead of desiring peace, wishes for an election to be held under war conditions, so that the Republicans may he denied freedom of speech.
