WELLINGTON, May 16.
Tim hearing was continued to-day ~f the divorce’petition, Denton v. Denton. Evidence was given by n neighbour as to seeing a man about the house when Denton was away. Another witness deposed to seeing Airs Denton at the Empire Hotel, Afasterb.n, in January with a man who was not her husband. V itness thought it was Rosenborg, as lie noticed in the hotel register the name of Air and Airs Rosenberg, room 10. Evidence was also given by three other witnesses, including a private detective, as to the movements of respondent and Rosenberg. Yesterday one witness, in evidence, said that he saw a certain incident through a clear pane of glass.,lt was suggested that an architect should see the window and report, but when tho petitioner went to the house last night ho found the pane bad been frosted
A man named Langley who was working on the building opposite, said that he had seen a man yesterday afternoon painting this particular pane. An architect also gave evidence that tlie particular pane had been frosted over. Other similar panes in other windows in the house were not so frosted.
This afternoon the Denton divorce ease was continued. Air O’Leary put Airs Denton, respondent, in the box. She denied the evidence of the previous witnesses. She detailed her Afasterton trip, and said she was not aware that a room had been hooked for Mr and Airs Rosenberg. She refuted' the stories of previous witnesses, who alleged they bad seen her in bed with Rosenberg, and also denied that she had been on Ultimate relationship with either Ciirrington or Rosenberg, The witness had some lively passages with Air Afazengarb.
