adjincton stork market ANOTHER LARGE YARDING. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Atesars H. Matson, and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday: Store Sheep—A large entry for this time of the year and comprising mostly wethers and lambs, including several lines of wethers from the south. Very few ewes were yarded, but what were in met with keen competition, being quite 2s to 2s Gd above recent sales. AY ethers also were in keener demand and lambs also were better. Rest J, 5, and 8-tooth ewes 27s to 33s Gd, medium and S.AI. 23s to 2Gs Gd; failing mouths and inferior 18s to 225, culls down to 1-ls Gd ; best wethers 21s to 265. Store Sheep—. Medium 21s to 23s Gd, others 18s to 20s Gd; best ewe hoggets 21s Gd to 23s 8d; best wethers ditto 15s to 19s lid, others 12s to 1-ls Gd. Beef—Another large yarding, -130 head being penned as against 470 last week. The quality throughout was very irregular and hardly up to the standard of the last few sales. The entry was in excess of tlie butchers’ requirements. The best quality sold well, but medium and inferior sorts were easier. Prime steers £9 to £l2 ]os, extra to £l4, medium £6 10s to £8 10s; Olliers down to £4; prime licifers £5 to £8 ss, others £2 10s to £5; prime cows £4 to £0 as, extra to £8 10s; others £2 10s to £2 15s.

Store Cattle.—There was a fairly large yarding, including one: or two decent station lines. Tho hulk of Die market, however, comprised of nondescript- lets, and prices showed little difference from recent quotations. Best 3 and 4 year steers £5 to £5 7s, 2 years ditto to £3 10s, 18-montlis ditto to £2, 18 months heifers £2, yearlings lo 30s; cows 20s to 345.

Stoic pigs- -A good entry, weaners and small stores selling at late rates. Medium and large stores improved, a buyer from the south forcing tho market up. Values were: Moaners 3s to 10s, small stores 15s to 225, medium 28s to 335, large stores to 40s. There was a good entry of fat pigs, and the demand was a little better than last week. Light baconcrs £2 18s to £3 10s, heavy £3 10s, heavy £3 15s to £-!, extra heavy to £4 10s, tho ave-

rage price being olfd to Old ; light porkers 32s to 38s, heavy 43s to 525. the average price being 7d to Bd. Alutton.—There was another large yarding which was in excess of butchers’ requirements. But even so, the prices genera 11 v was above freezing parity, export buyers not being able to operate. The quality generally was better all round than last week, but still there was a good percentage of medium and inferior quality which really should have been relegated to tlie store pens. Primo wethers and best owes showed little alteration, but medium and inferior sheep, especially ewes were a good deal easier. Prime wethers 30s to 35s Gd, extra to 40s: medium and inferior 23s to 2Gs Gd. Good shearing sheep bought by graziers brought 24s to 29s Gd, prime ewes 20s Gd to 2Gs Gd. extra, to 33s Gd: medium 10s to 20s; others down to 12s Gd.

There was a larger yarding of lambs than at last week’s sale, the over all price being about S.fd per Hi.
