INWARD CORRESPONDKNCE. From the Chamber of Commerce, Perth, AY.A. acknowledging information with regard to the Exhibition and asking that further particulars be sent. —Received, to ho complied with. From T. AY. Wcodroffe, Christchurch forwarding particulars of space, plan adjustments and stating blue prints were being forwarded, also advising in respect to spaco desired by the Dunedin Manufacturers’ Association, and in regard to individual applications lor space.—Received, to be approved 01. From Smith and Anthony. Limited. Christchurch forwarding five blue prints of Exhibition plan and stating the remainder would follow by subsequent mail.—Received.

From the Managers of the local Banks intimating tliat tho application for donations had been referred to the General Managers who had replied that it was not the Banks’ practice to _ contribute to local celebrations of this kind, and in consequence the application would have to be declined.—Received.

From Airs C. E. McWhirter reporting with regard to available accommodation in private dwellings.—Received and the matter was discussed at some length and referred to the Accommodation sub-committee. The matter of procuring beds and bedding at wholesale prices is to be taken up later. From AL Darling, Auckland applying for JO feet of spare.— Received and the plan would be forwarded for selection •if site. From the Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce ronlviii.f in respect to various matters and indicating that the Government Departments had forwarded lavourable replies with regard to co-operating, and t ,Ko for private exhibits of an educational and interesting nature.—Received. From tho Afayor.s of Rieton, Nelson, and Westport, County Chairman, Reelton and the President of the Rcefton Progress League, forwarding communications in respect to the visit of Die delegation.—Received and relent'd to Die delegates to srioet a suitable time for the proposed visit. Several communications with regard to publicity matters were received ami referred to the Publicity Committee for report.. , , ~ Correspondence with regard to the formation of the Art Gallery weic iceeived from the Metropolitan Art Societies. and referred to the Art Committee for attention. . From R. A. Horne, Christchurch, supplying particulars ol concerts etc. held at the Christchurch Exhibition ’and communicating information m respect to soloists and concert parties available for visits to the ( oast at Exhibition time.—Received with thanks and referred to the Entertainment Committee. . ~ From the International Elcetne Co. Ltd., Wellington, indicating terms on which they were prepared to establish a Radio Parlor at the Exhibition to b? under the control of Air E. AA . Keenan and stating that the apparatus would be supplied, the Council would be responsible for the set in case of damage. AKo adding that a wireless telephmu stall would he a special feature lor the Exhibiton.—Received with thanks.
