The Republicans at South Antrim posted notices declaring that if any further members of their battalion are executed, all dockers and farmers whose sons are serving in the Free State forces will he compelled to leavo the country. REBELS SHOOT SOLDIERS. LONDON. March 20. Armed rebels captured Lieut Thomas Jones, and two privates in the Free State Army and took them to Adamstown where they were shot dead by machine gun fire. Some tree Staters were decoyed by a false report that a house was on fire. A soldier was sent to investigate. When he failed to return, others were, sent in search for him. They were way- > laid on a lonely road and captured. ) REBELS VERY COSTLY. LONDON. March 27. The eost of rebel brigandage is shown by President Cosgrove’s estimates in the Dail Kirenun. The compensation lor property losses amounts to £lO,725,000. and the Free State Army’s upkeep to a similar amount.
