The Science Bureau reports: that as result of ext.'tilled experiments a suitable process has been found for tho economical production of paper pulp in Au-lralia, so far as technical procedure is concerned. The report adds that the news print industry, if started in Australia, would have to be on a comparatively large scale. There is no evidence available to indicate whether the supplies of timber in any part of Australia are sufficiently extensive for the manufacture of newsprint.
