After a fine week, the weather broke during the night, and it rained more or less till 8 a.m.. and prevented a start before 1.30. After half an hour’s play a heavy shower caused a suspension till 3.15. The Englishmen, after a slow exhibition of hatting, were all out at 5.50 for 140. Titchmarsh made 30. Calthorpe 35, Wilkinson 26 and Slater 18. Temperton took 5 wickets for -IS. Bernaii 3 for 34, Blair 2 for 14. and Jacobsen 1 for 27.
