BOWLING.
HOKITIKA A’. GREY. Teams from these clubs met at Hokitika on Saturday afternoon, and after an interesting game Greyinouth were returned victors by 4 points, thanks to a runaway victory scored by W. Jllair’s rink at the expense of D. Stevenson’s rink, Hokitika winning three rinks out of four. A team of Hokitika colts met a Grey mixed team, and found the visitors too strong. Jir Blair’s team secured the Ballinger Buckles, and Reynolds Badges. The ladies supplied a dainty afternoon tea. The green was not in as good order as usual, due mainly to the very heavy wet spell experienced. Air AY. Braddon, President of the Hokitika Club, expressed the pleasure of the local club in having the visitors on tho green, and congratulated them on their success, them handing over the trophies to Air I). Tennant, who spoke in appreciative terms ol the afteinoon’s plav, and presented the trophies to the skip of the winning team. Cheers for both teams and the ladies 'concluded the gathering.
