Alatson and Co., report as follows regarding tl.eir stock sale at Addington yards yesterday: Store Sheep—A small entry, mostly inferior sorts, lmt the market showed a decided improvement. Best shorn wethers up to 235; best shorn hoggets l!s to 17s; best shorn ewes I tom 15s to 20s; others from 10s to 13s Gd. Store cattle—A large yarding comprising a very mixed entry including several pens of good forward steers. Competition was good nil round, especially for any well-grown good condition cattle. 3 years to 3} years steers C7-to £7 18s; 2 years to 21 years ditto *>3 10s to £3 15s; yearlings and 18 months ditto 20s to 265; 2 years to 21 years heifers £2 5s to £2 10s: yo»riings 20s to 255; cows Ins to 30s. Pics— Porkers, a large yarding and the "demand was easier. Alodium 38s to 15s; heavy 48s to 525; average price 6d to 6scl. Baooners —A large yarding and prices for light sorts were at last week rates. Heavy baconers showed no demand. Light baconers £2 17s to £3 ss, heavy to £3 12s; average price 5J (I to Gd ; heavy 4d to 4/d. Choppers The demand was very weak from £2 to £2 10s.

Store pin*—A very large yarding and 'lie sale opened at late rates, but fell off considerably towards the finish. Wen iters 11s to 18s; good sorts to 235; slips 10s to 20s; medium stores 30s to 30s; largo stores to -10 s. Beef—A very large yarding comprising 410 head including consignments from the West Coast and Otago South. Several lines of excellent quality were yarded but the market, especially for heavy weights was easier all round. Crime Steers £ll to £l3 Ins; extra to cis Ins; medium C 9 0s to £lO Ins; lighter and inferior £0 to £8 15s; prime heifers C 7 10s to ,C 0; extra to .£lO 17s fid; medium £5 to £7 ; others C 3 10s to £-1 15. Cows, best £7 to £8 15s; others £3 to CO.lns. Mutton—A very small yarding, including some of outstanding quality. The market opened with a keen showing, a sharp rise on last sale, and improved as it progressed, but towards tlie end eased off somewhat. "Crime shorn wethers 31s fid to 30s; extra to 455; medium 27s Od.to 31. lighter 24s fid to 275. Enos showed the same propoi tiimate advance. Th« average advance on last week’s sale was from 3s to 5s per head.
