1 What is Liberalism? , Defining Liberalism, Mr Buddo, : speaking in Rangiora said it meant ' liberty and freedom, with no class privilege; State action where industry and energy could be used for the betterment of all; honest effort on the j farm and in the workshop; commence ,to lie freed from all hindrance and made more fruitful, so that men and women could obtain independence. Libi eralism meant equality of sacrifice, ' equality of opportunity and the great- | est good to the greatest number. A I strong effort was being made to make * two camps of the people, workers and employers— there could not be a more criminal blunder.
