Mr Charles Williams, a well-known resident' of Westport, passed away n ttho Westport hospital at 5 a.m. on Tuesday. Deceased was a native of Hokitika, 52 years of age, and bad resided in Westport for the past 15 years or so, working as ,a fireman on the Eileen Ward for a considerable time and also for some time 'with th.i Borough. He took a prominent part in the Oddfellows’ Lodge, and was also an honorary member of the Druids’ (Lodge, and was a member of the Westport Bowling Club.
