A Triple Tradegy.

A triple tragedy surrounded l>v mystery, occurred near Swum a. The body of an elderly man, Edward Buncombe living alone in the bush, was found in his hut fatally shot. The {hut. where deceased was supposed to have a considerable sum of money was rifled. Later the dead body of a second man, Thomas Carpenter, was discovered in the vicinity shot in the back of the head. Trooper Henderson proceeded to the scene in a- car and when nearing Buncombe’s hut got out, leaving bis revolver in tbe .ear, telling he driver be would not want it. Henderson failing to return, the driver wen to the but and found the troojrer shot dead. The indications pointed to a terrible struggle. Tbe supposition is that the murderer returned to the hut and Henderson surprised him and was trying to arrest him, when lie received a fatal shot. A strong force of armed police and civilians is scouring the district in search of the murderer. The residents are terror stricken.
