In the last set they made a. little better shotting, winning the first game, and then the fourth and fifth in succession. Patterson hit everything hard and tho ball sometimes could hardly be seen for speed. The Spaniards also secured the seventh game, but that was tho end of their success. In the last game, Patterson with two double faults .permitting his opponents to work up to deuce, then served two aces, taking the match. NEW YORK, Aug. 10.
