ADJINCTON STOCK MARKET. A STEADY MARKET. (By Telegraph. —Special to Guardian,) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs H. Matson and Co., report as follows renrding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday: Store Sheep—A small yarding; mostly composed of inferior and backward sheep, with one or two outstanding lines of ewes. Best sound ewe from 20s to 245; one particularly good line making 30s. Best wethers from 15s to 18s! best hoggets from 12s 6d to los; best 1 bred owe hoggets up to 245. The market generally was easier. Store cattle—Large yarding and quality again very indifferent. The yarding was a very mixed one. A good line of back country steers were passed at auction. The best of the other steers were up to £5 Os. One small pan of extra good bullocks made £6 12s Gd. Another good pen of heifers spring cal vers £5 ss. The other sorts showed no difference to last week. Reef. —Another large yarding including one consignment from the North Island. The quality generally was very indifferent, hut there were one or two roallv good lines of cattle yarded. The market all round, if anything was slightly firmer and-the whole entry cleared at auction. Prime steers £9 los to £l3 10s ; extra to £ls 2s Gel; medium £0 10s to £9 10s; others £4 to £6 ss. Best, heifers £o ] 10s to £7 17s Gtl; others £3 to £5. Good cows £4 to CO 10s; others £2 to £3 15s. Mutton—A very much larger entry than last week, mostly ewes and a very few wethers offering. Any really good heavy wethers or ewes were about the same as last week; medium or inferior sheep, easier: freeding buyers secured a fair proportion of the latter sort. Prime wethers 24s to 32s Gd ; extra good 34s to 37s Id; medium 20s Gd to 23s Gd; others 17s Gd to 20s; Prime ewes 17s to 23s Cxi; extra to 275: one specially good line making up to 30s; medium 15s to 17s Gd: lighter and inferior down to 9s Gd. Ther was a smaller yarding of lambs ut of better quality, and the market showed a decided improvement all round. Freezing buyers were more confident as the position at the works is evidently more satisfactory.
