GLOAMING V. BEAU FORD. SYDNEY. April 29. The newspaper “Arrow’s” turf critics. commenting on Beauford's recent victories, says: “One thing is certain. Thero i.s only one horse in Australia or New Zealand that can he considered to have the slightest chance against him up to one and aAialf miles, and that is Gloaming. 1 ’ Discussing the possibilities of Gloaming coming to Australia to meet Beau ford next, spring, the critic declares: “It is certain that Bea,llford would be the favorite, after tin* exhibition lie made of Eurythmir. The crowd would not back anything else, despite Gloaming s reputation. Gloaming would certainly test Beau ford, but it must not be overlooked that Gloaming is getting old ,while probably Beauford will be in better form in 'the spring. In that case it probably would be the Beau-foird-Eiirytbmic battle repeated.”
