Association to affiliate with the Alliance of Labour, iuid urged Government should absolutely decline to deal with the Alliance in any matters affecting the P. and T. officers, and further than if the P. and T. becomes part of the Alliance. Government should refuse a-H recognition of the Association. 31 r Massey, in reply, said Government will on no account consent to affiliation of the P. and 'l'. with the Alliance of Labour. We are not going to allow this thing to drift. The Association's reply, not giving a definite date as to when, members would consider Hon Coates’ letter appeared to be n.u attempt to (lout the Government, but Government won’t stand that sort- of thing. T have a prettygood idea what the next move will be. He declined to discuss that now, but Government will not on any account whatever, put up with the P. and T. Service joining with the Alliance of Labour.
