Hokitika Athletic and Cycling Club.
A very large and enthusiastic meetina was held in Keller’s sample rooms on Monday evening for the purpose of forming the above Club. Mr A. George was voted to the chair and briefly explained the object of the meeting. The various officers were elected and ways and means to further the interests of the Club were fully discussed. Tt is the intention of the Club to hold a sports meeting before the winter and immediately information and doles governing meetings come to hand from headquarters, the programme will be drawn up for approval. Trophies have already been ofFered for competition and judging by the interest displayed all-round at last evening’s meeting tbe success of the Club js pssured.
