COMMITTEE MEET!NG
The Committee met at the County Chambers, Hokitika, on Saturday afternoon. There were present—Messrs L. H. Morel (chair), R. Houliston, D. .Tellie, W. Olderog, J. Monk, W. A. Jamieson, J. Fleming, N. Harris, C. Marshall, R. Wild, W. Jeffres and M. Williamson.
The minutes of the last ordinary meeting were read and confirmed.
Mr W. Jamieson moved that Messrs W. Olderog’and D. Jellie be appointed to the vacancies left on the committee for two representatives of the Arahufa Seconded by Mr C. Marshall and carried
There was a lengthy discussion in connection with matters affecting tlie Koitornngi little-kiln, and then Mr W. A. Jamieson moved: “That Hie committee agree to lease to a. synidcate to he heinnfter formed, the ]ime-ltiln site of 5 acres at Koiterangi, for a period of 21 years with the right of renewal for a further 21 years, also with a right for like periods to quarry limestone from the Koiterangi reserve. And if such syndicate assume the liabilities of the Association amounting to £9OO, then the Association will hand to such syndicate the rents at present received in respect of the limestone reserve tit Koiterangi, and the Hall site at Kokatahi; and royalties in respect of timber.”
'Phis was seconded by Hie Chairman and agreed to.
'l’lie proposal to hold an A. and P. Show next year was then discussed, and approved. Mr Morel moved that all present form themselves into a committee, with power to add to the number, and that a publig meeting l>e held at the County Chambers, Hokitika, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 20th, for the purpose of making arrangements for the holding of a Show, to lie held during the month of March, 1922. Seconded by Mr W. Jeffries and carried. The following new members were elected:—Messrs A. G. Pilkington, W. Olderog, D. Jellie, R. Wild and A. Co derm an. \
