TOWN V. COUNTRY

Despite the rain and state of the ground on Saturday the above match took place and a really fine and willing game was the result. Had the day been fine the game would have beeu worth going a long way to witness. The way the wet and greasy ball was handled by the hacks, more especially the town backs, was really good and on a fine day would have been a treat to see. The country forwards were always the best and in the loose showed superior play. The result of the game was a win for the country 7 team by 12points to ()- The scorers for the winners wore: Wells (2), Alright and Griffiths, none of the tries being converted, while’ Rutherford scored the two tries for the town team.
