WATAROA STOCK SALE
Messrs AY. Jeffries and Co., report their Annual Autumn Sale at the above .yards took place on Saturday last the yarding consisting of 651 fat sheep and 138 head of cattle. The attendance at this fixture was considerably below the average caused no doubt in the first case by the shocking weather prevailing on that day which militated against buyers from a distance being present and secondly the inconvenience ol the date fixed for the sale, which did not leave fat stock buyers an opportunity of being present.. This will be more apparent when it is noted that the whole of the stock offered with the exception of one pen were fat lines. However there was a good clearance of cattle at prices that must bo considered highly satisfactory in view of the condition of the markets all over the Dominion. Sheep However 1 , showed a .decided fall and did not reach within 12/- per head of the prices recorded last year for the same class of slice]). The following sales wore recorded. For Air L.
