ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE,

At tlie above yards yesterday 77 fat sheep and lambs and 57 head of fat cattle were submitted to public competition. There was the usual attendance of buyers present and th,. quality of the cattle offered was exceedingly prime, there being, however, far too much i-i)w and heifer beef for the usual butchers’ requirements.; Competition was restricted in view of tbo fall in prices at tln> Canterbury Markets with the result that there was a slackening in the price per hundred compared with last sale.
