Dwing to the numerous reqests by their many friends here the above combination will pay a return visit before proceeding to Christchurch. The company promises a long selected programme of all the newest items, potted revues, brilliant ensembles, clever comedy sketches, and many novelties from their extensive repertoire. Crowded . and enthusiastic audiences greeted “The Diggers” everywhere they appeared in Australia and the company returns here with added laurels and a very extensive repertoire of’new numbers and ‘•business.” Stan Lawson as ‘‘the one and only girl” is a htillianl success. There have been many less attractive women on the stage—and also oil it -and Air’ Lawson gives the impersonation 'admirably. Included ir the personnel of the company are Tano Fama, comedian; Gils' Perkins, baritone; Len Lome, coiiiodhui ; Gus Da'wson, ragtime exponent and dancer; Len Walker, light'comedian and dancer: George Proctor, tenor; and the inimit able Stan 'Lawson, ‘‘the misleading lady.” An orchestra of ten members, each one an artist in his particular business, will bo a feature of “The Diggers’’ entertainment.' The Brisbane Daily Alai] writes thus: “Few if any, in Diggers” as they ‘went over the top’
Precisely at d o'clock, could have failed to he delighted with the. excellent work done by the bids as the evening wore on. There was not a dull moment.
