HOKITIKA FIRE BOARD

The.statutory quarterly meeting was held yesterday at the Town Hall at 3 p.m. Present—Hon H. L. Michel (Chairman), Messrs J. F. Grierson, F. McGregor, J. H. Wilson. From Fire Beard Conference, forwarding copy of minutes of Conference —Received.

From Canterbury Fire Association, forwarding £1 7s, expenses of watchmen at a fire.—Received. From Minister of Internal Affairs, forwarding copy of Inspector Hugo’s annual report.—Received. From Secretary, reporting receipts £147 7s lid, payments £lO2 9.s Id, ere: dit balance £139 7s sd.—Received. From Same, reporting there were no discrepancies on the tell talc clock during the three monthly period.—Received ; considered very satisfactory. Accounts amounting to £133. 15s lOd were passed for payment. From Supt. Braddoq, enclosing letter from Fire Brigades Association notifying appointment of q travelling representative, to visit all brigades, ill connection with a proposal to instal a supply depot.—Received. It was' resolved to raise objection to the contents of accident policy, added to the Board’s proposal by the Alliance Assurance Coy. The matter was referred to Afr Grierson and Secretary to attend to.' The Chairman extended good wishes for the festive season to members of the Board and Fire Brigade. The Board then rose.
