In the shape of a machine, the Agriculture Department tested the latest claim to the solution of the troublesome question of the sex of eggs. Of sixteen eggs which the machine indicated contained males, eight produced males and eight females. Of twenty-one others which the machine backed as females, thirteen yielded males and females. The report makes no comment. A NEW MOVE. MELBOURNE, This Day. The Women’s Organisation Committee of the Australian Labour Party adopted a suggestion to the effect that when shopping, Labour women should ask to be attended to by Unionists only.
