GOMPERS AND POLITICS. NEW YORK, November 28
Mr S. Gompers (Labour Federation President) analyses the result of ! he U.S. congressional election, and declared organised Labour had won a victory since fifty candidates hostile to Labour were defeated, and fifteen Labour Union members were elected. Mr Gompeis added that the election generally, how ever, was a victory for reactionary elements, who now planned an assault upon unionised labour for the purpose of depriving it of its hard-earned gains, line of action to be adopted
TRADE WITH GERMANY. (Received‘this day at 8 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 28
The American Farm Bureau federation. has announced that organised agriculturists strongly advocate the extension of credit to Germany and Associated European countries, based on alien enemy property seized in United States. It is understood Germany will be ready to purchase 750 million dollars of American products during 1921, if such credits are extended.
