ENGLISH BOROUGH FLECTIONS
LABOURITES DEFEATED. (Reuter’s Telegram.) (Received This Day at 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 2. The outstanding feature of the municipal elections in three hundred English boroughs, in which one third of the membersship are annually electable, was the heavy defeat 0 f the Labourites, particularly in the industrial districts. The. most prominent issue was the soaring rates,- which are the highest where labour majorities control affairs.
