COUNCILLORS FORFEIT SEATS CHRISTCHURCH, September 1.
The Auditor General has notified the Kaiapoi Borough Council that the' Mayor (Mr J. H. Blackwell) and Councillors R. Wylie and ft. Dunn have forfeited their seats on the Council, owing to having supplied the Council with goods over the amount allowed by law. The aspects of the matter are the same as affecting tire disqualification of certain Lyttelton Councillors. The' Audi-tor-General is to bo asked to reconsider his decision seeing that the goods were supplied to the Peace Celebratiofls Committee, and not the Council.
