The suspension of Jimmy Clabby for six months by the Wanganui Boxing Association, for his failure to carry out his agreement to contest a match with Fritz Holland at Wanganui, has been endorsed by the New Zealand Boxing Council'.' The suspension for six months dating from July 20th. BFJNTON HARBOUR, Aug. 29. Dempsey is carrying out a rigorous training campaign. He is boxing daily with three negro fighters, with whom he trained for the Willard match,. and is doing considerable road work each morning. NEW YORK, August 29. Jack Curley, the promoter of the Le-vinsky-Carpentier bout, expressed stirjprfee at Kearn’s announcement that Carpentier would cancel the Levinsky bout in America-, but Des Champs had referred Cochrane to Curley. The letter reaffirmed Deschamp’s decision to bare Carpentier fulfil the contract to fight Levinsky.
