AMERICA’S ATTITUDE. WASHINGTON, August 11. The State Department lias published a Note regarding the Polish situation. It states the United States denies the .autonomy of Poland, and that she does not take exception to the armistice negotiations between Russia and 1 oland. The United States will not participate in these negotiations, since it feai-s they might lead to a recognition of the Soviet problem upon a basis of tho dismemberment of Russia, The United States will therefore welcome an Allied declaration as to the true Russian boundaries, excepting that Finland, Poland and part of Armenia will bo safeguarded.
