Mr Massey stated this evening that the butter negotiations had not reached finality. Various points had to be considered and cablegrams exchanged. WOOL PROFITS. The Prime Minister stated to-day that the Imperial authorities Tiad placed at the disposal of the New Zealand Government a. sum of £1,619,069 for distribution to the woolgrower.s, on account of profits on the sale of requisitions of wool up to March 31st., 1919. This money will be distributed among the growers by the Department of Imperial Government Supplies, immediately that the Government receives certain information from the wool.brokers. The brokers have been asked to supply this information. The payment on account of profits earned after March 31st., 1919 will be made later, but the amount is not yet known. It is expected to be substantial.
