ROSS NEWS.
(Our Own Correspondent.) .Another sad death took place on Wednesday evening in tlic person o£ Mrs Halm, wife of Mr Louis Hahn well known in sawniilling business. The deceased had a short illness being confined to bed for less than a week suffering from a severe attack of influenza. She was comparatively a young woman being only 42 years of age, and beside; her husband she leaves a family of four, 3 girls and 1 boy to mourn her loss and to whom the deepest sympathy is extended. The body "’as taken to Grey mouth where the funeral takes place to-day (Friday). There is* a good deal of sickness in Ross at present mostly mild attacks of influenza,, although several eases ere considered more sci ions. The schools under instructions from the District Health Officer have been closed for a fortnight. Nurse Bowie who lias been residednurse in South AA r estlnnd has been stationed in Ross by the Charitable Aid Board where slio will remain until tin present sickness has abated.
