On Cass Square to-morrow afternoon tliccle will bo a trial match, commencing at 1.30 p.m in which players from four clubs—Ross, Kokatahi, Excelsiors and Kiwis will ’ take part. The team to represent the district against Grey on the following Saturday will be selected later. The only Cup fixture for this week, Diggers v. Kumara, will take place at 3 p.m., when a good contest should result. This match will conclude the first round of the fixtures. Mr L. Hills will act as referee for the trial match, and Mr Conning-for the, senior fixture. (Per Press Association.! The weather was fine and the {pound fairly dry.
