[AUSTRALIAN ifc N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION] MELBOURNE STRIKE SETTLEMENT. MELBOURNE, June 18. The City Council lias agreed to the committee’s proposal to pay enginedrivers 3s 6d per day increase. This ends portion of the strike affected by electricity supply. Factory engine-driv ers and gas workers are still out, though the prospects of a settlement are regarded as encouraging.
